Help deciding on 6 “open” nights on route to Kruger

Hello! My husband and I will be travelling to South Africa next month. We have significant experience traveling. Most recent trip was a month long trip through Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. We didn’t rent a car while there and we are happy we didn’t. But we were happy we rented a car to travel in Morocco. We take every possible precaution (i.e. not driving at night, full insurance, stick to main roads, etc.) All the reservations at the camps are secured -this was the most difficult task since there was very little available. About us: not interested in visiting wineries, shopping or fancy restaurants. Interested in wildlife, nature, hikes, and being away from bigger cities. We do not have a huge budget, so luxury lodges are out of the question. We have a budget of $100-$120 for lodging/per night. We could cancel some of the reservations if necessary, but adding nights at specific camps seems impossible (especially at Lower Sabie)

Two questions:

1. Should we try to fly at some point inside South Africa to avoid long drives with not much to see? Or should we stick to driving all the way from Cape Town up to Kruger?

2. What to do with 6 open nights we have after visiting Addo Elephant Park, and before we check-in at Pretoriuskop Rest Camp.

This is our current plan:

4/12, 4/13, 4/14 -Cape Town

4/15, 4/16, 4/17 -Gansbaai

4/18 , 4/19 -Garden Route National Park

4/20, 4/21, 4/22 -Addo Elephant Park

4/23, 4/24, 4/25, 4/26, 4/27, 4/28 -???????

4/29, 4/30 -Pretoriuskop Rest Camp (via which gate? Numbi? Phabeni? Further South?)

5/1 -Lower Sabie Camp

5/2, 5/3 -Tamboti Tent Camp

5/4 -Satara Camp

5/5, 5/6 -Mopani Camp

5/7 -Exit Kruger towards Johannesburg (via Phalaborwa Gate?) Where should we spend night?

5/8 -Flight Departs @ 19:20 from Johannesburg
