TL;DR:

Dates: late March-early April (March 25-April15)

Duration: 10-12 days

Destination: cities in Italy, Spain, Portugal

Hi all! I have about 10-12 days I can swing for a vacation
and since I’ve never been to Europe I thought I’d give it a
shot. It’s open ended right now but financially it’s making
more sense to do late March/early April. I also prefer the
weather during this time.

I’ll be doing solo travel and I’ve narrowed it down to the
following cities:

Spain: Madrid & Seville (maybe moving
things around and do Valencia for Las Fallas?)

Portugal: Lisbon & Porto

Italy: Not sure yet, most likely northern

I know Holy Week is the last week of March, and as far as
I’ve read it’s probably not a good time to go to Spain during
this time.

I’ve got a few ideas of what I’d like to do:

Madrid: Plaza Mayor, Royal Palace, Reina
Sofia Museum

Seville: Spain Square, Alcazar of Seville

Porto: Casa-Museu Teixeira Lopes, Museu
Nacional Soares dos Reis, Clérigos Tower, Palácio da Bolsa.

Do any of these cities have big events going on that are
worth checking out? I’d like to explore food, drink,
architecture, art, history/historical sites, and interact
with the locals. I’m also a photographer so anythings
(buildings, landscape views) worth capturing would be
fantastic.
